kefir, here we come…

Just mixing up the grains and the sugars. Getting ready to add the water.

Since the new year, we as a family, have been trying to eat much healthier. As you will notice with many of my recipes I am trying to replace processed foods with lots more whole foods. We have really enjoyed this process. We still love us some cake from time to time, but it’s all things in moderation, right. We aren’t eating better because we are afraid of the doctor, or processed foods, or GMO’s, but simply, we enjoy it and feel much better doing so. So in an effort to give something new a try…

Yesterday I started my VERY FIRST batch of home “brewed” kefir. I am so excited to try the first of my fruits tomorrow. I wanted to give you a little taste of what may be to come. If all goes well, I plan on posting a recipe to make your own kefir at home. Stay tuned…
